Tips on making any major purchase:
1. Define your Goal - know what you're looking for, the features you want and what your limits in price are. For example: needing a refrigerator for 2 college students who don't eat a lot that costs under $600.
2. Comparison Shop - when shopping for something you need make sure to compare prices of similar products, you can get deals at some stores for finding a lower priced item. For example: at bunnings of you find the same item that is marked at a lower price than what they offer then they will beat it by 10%
3. Identify Pro's and Con's - once a few products have been narrowed down, identify the pros and cons of each product, then make the life changing decision ;)
4. Paying correctly - it would be much cheaper to pay up front, and a warranty is also well needed, however if you were unable to stay under budget, it may be best to pay it in monthly instalments or get a loan (however this is a small bit more expensive due to interest)
